Greenfold Farm - Thread Architects

Rescuing the past, while making room for the future.

Thread Architects have brought this eighteenth-century Grade II listed farmhouse back from years of deterioration, carefully repairing its stone, timber and traditional fabric while transforming two former cottages into one coherent family home.

A contemporary extension steps with the landscape and frames views towards the Peak District, creating a light-filled counterpoint to the intimate historic rooms while respecting the character of the original farmstead.

Old and new, brought together to give a much-loved piece of Sheffield’s rural heritage a new life.
